What forms do I need to become a mentor at Cincinnati Youth Collaborative?

All prospective mentors are expected to submit the following:

  • New Volunteer Application (which you can find a link to at the top of this page)
  • A copy of your state issued driver license (taking a picture and emailing the the Mentor Administrator is fine)
  • A copy of your current car insurance (taking a picture and emailing the the Mentor Administrator is fine)
  • Completed background check (Check the button at the top of this page for the guide to walk your through that process)
What if I want to volunteer and not be a mentor?

There are a ton of volunteer opportunities outside of being a direct mentor. Check out the program overviews above to see which is best fit for you. Each page has a contact person where you can ask more questions as well.

What training and continued education does CYC offer for their mentors and volunteers?

There are 4 core trainings to complete:

  • General Youth Safety & Trauma Informed Care
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Relationship Development
  • Goal Management

These trainings can be completed virtually and in-person within a 30-day period.
