CYC’s 2019 Dream Makers Celebration
The 2019 Dream Makers Celebration
Thanks to generous support from caring people like you, we raised over $221,000 for this event! Our returning and high-energy master of ceremonies, Regina Carswell-Russo, led us through an unforgettable evening of smiles, hugs, tears, and multiple standing ovations! We were thrilled to celebrate John F. Barrett, Chairman, President & CEO of Western & Southern, as Honorary Chair and hear about his experiences back at CYC’s very beginnings, over 30 years ago.
The night had multiple highlights, including the powerful story shared by CYC Alumni and current Board Member, Terence Daniels. Terence shared his first interaction with CYC ten years ago, as a member of the Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates program and his ensuing journey through all “3 Es“ – Enrolled (in college), Employed (at Worldpay), and Enlisted (in the National Guard). We also heard from another CYC alum and current member of the CYC Young Professionals Board, Aliou Djouf, about the mission of the YP Board and his personal commitment to the students CYC serves. If that wasn’t enough, we also debuted our 2019 “Outstanding Student” video and heard a powerful call-to-action from Brianna Triblett, one of the Outstanding Student winners.
Special events like our Dream Makers Celebration allow CYC to raise funds for a critical need in Cincinnati: programs for children and young adults who might otherwise never connect with positive adult advocates, resources, or opportunities. Programs that truly prepare students for whatever the next step is on their continuing journey toward success in education, career, and life.
Thank you to our generous sponsors
