On April 17th the Jobs for Cincinnati’s Graduates program, an affiliate of the Jobs for Ohio Graduates (JOG) program, held their 42nd Annual Career Development Conference at the Delta Hotel. JCG’s mission is Ensuring Academic and Career Success for the youth in the Greater Cincinnati area. This year’s theme was: “How has JOG Positively Impacted You”.

JCG student competitors from Aiken New Tech, Hughes STEM, North College Hill, Oyler, Taft Information Technology, Western Hills University, Winton Woods, Withrow University, and Woodward Career Technical High Schools competed in the areas of Prepared Speaking, Video Presentation, Cover Design, Student’s for Service, Career Preparation, Business Plan, Employability Skills, Decision Making, and Knowledge Bowl. Competitions were judged by CYC Board members, CYC Young Professional Board members, along with business and community partners. At the conference, students participated in “Beauty / Brains / Brawn” team-building workshops. 1st and 2nd place winners will be competing in State JOG competitions on April 22nd in Columbus competing against youth from other JOG Affiliates.
