History
More than thirty years ago, as Cincinnati was facing exceedingly high dropout rates, concerned community and school leaders pioneered the idea of collaboration between the business community and public schools. They created a game-changing model for intervention and founded Cincinnati Youth Collaborative.
CYC has created a pathway to success for 180,000 disadvantaged students in our community. CYC is uniquely:
- The first local organization to actively engage the business community in the advocacy and support of youth.
- One of the longest-standing strategic relationships with Cincinnati Public Schools district wide, with access to school academic data for CYC program participants.
- A strong collaborator with more than 100 partners including businesses, non-profits, and government agencies to deliver our work.
- Positioned to join with other organizations to create greater impact, such as Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates and Saturday Hoops.
