Cincinnati Youth Collaborative (CYC) was founded more than three decades ago when community leaders recognized the tremendous need among at-risk children for consistent positive role models, and the importance and influence that mentors have on young people’s lives.

CYC is very proud of the success of its mentor program. Each year, more than 600 CYC mentors positively impact the lives of kids in Greater Cincinnati. As an expression of our deep gratitude for their commitment, CYC sets aside the 21st of January to recognize our mentors’ exceptional work.

The Outstanding Mentor Award seeks to recognize the achievements of CYC mentors. All nominees will be recognized at the Mentor Celebration event on Thursday, January 21. One mentor will be selected by a panel to receive the Outstanding Mentor Award.

Nominees must:

  • Be an active CYC mentor
  • Have mentored for one year or more as a one-to-one or group mentor
  • Consistently exceed expectations
  • Exemplify CYC’s core values of empowerment, community, accountability, passion, and integrity

Mentors must be nominated by students or Mentor Coordinators, but are encouraged to reach out and work with students and Mentor Coordinators to receive a nomination.

Deadline for nominations is December 8.
