Mentors learn about their roles, responsibilities, relationship stages, personal boundaries, caregiver engagement, crisis referrals, mandated reporting, consent requirements, program policies, assessments, and match closure. The training also reviews CYC’s screening, documentation, communication, and one-year commitment expectations. Mentors learn how the CYC Mentoring Coordinator supports the matching process and receive information about community resources, including United Way 211 and 241-KIDS. Upon completion, mentors are prepared to enter the match process with a clear understanding of how to support their mentees safely, responsibly, and consistently. | | Register for this training |
