We are thrilled to share the success and rewarding moments from our recent 12th Annual Golf Outing! On Tuesday the 25th, at The Vineyard Golf Course, supporters of CYC gathered for a day filled with friendly competition, and most importantly, a deep commitment to CYC’s mission. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, 34 foursomes, and volunteers, we exceeded our fundraising goals, ensuring that CYC can continue to provide critical mentoring, academic support, and career readiness programs to young people in the Cincinnati community.

Central to the event were the highly anticipated raffle baskets and split the pot competitions. Attendees bid on an  array of baskets filled with prizes donated by local businesses and generous supporters. From autographed sports memorabilia to local dining experiences, each basket was a testament to the community’s generosity. Meanwhile, the split the pot contest added an extra layer of excitement, with participants hoping to win a cash prize while supporting CYC’s mission.

Adding to the event’s buzz was a Q&A session facilitated by Chuck Ackerman. The Q&A featured former Golden State Warrior player & UC Basketball alum Steve Logan, & Cam Taylor Britt, a current Cincinnati Bengals player. Former Cincinnati Bengals player Dave Lapham generously sent in a video as well for our viewing. The annual golf outing experience would not have been the same without a speech given by CYC’s very own Meggan Thompson about her own experience with the JCG mentorship program and her mentee.

No golf outing would be complete without exceptional food, and the 12th annual CYC Golf Outing did not disappoint. Throughout the day, golfers and volunteers enjoyed beautiful weather, and delicious food courtesy of Jersey Mikes, La Rosas and Kroger.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. Your support not only helps us maintain our programs but also strengthens our mission to create pathways to success for every young person we serve.
