What is Manufacturing?

Manufacturing is making stuff! From the food that we eat, and the clothes and shoes that we wear, to the cars that we drive and bolts used for aircraft, manufacturing can be found in every aspect of our lives. Advanced Manufacturing is the use of innovative technologies to create new products and improve existing products and processes.

“Manufacturing is more than just putting parts together. It’s coming up with ideas, testing principles, and perfecting the engineering, as well as final assembly.”
