We are always thrilled and grateful to share the support we receive from our community partners.

The Duke Energy Foundation has contributed $5,000 to support CYC’s Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates Program. This gift will strengthen the program’s impact in its ten partner schools, giving students the tools to reach their full potential. Thank you, Duke Energy Foundation, for supporting brighter futures!

Jobs for Cincinnati Gradutes, the local affiliate of the statewide Jobs for Ohio Graduates and the national initiative Jobs for America’s Graduates, has been serving local schools for over thirty years. Through a one-credit high school elective, CYC career specialists keep at-risk students, including foster care youth, in school and on the path to employment, college enrollment or enlistment in the military. Students are supported one year post high school completion to ensure a successful transition to job, military, training or college. The nationally-recognized program teaches 37 critical core competencies including:

  • Constructing a resume and completing a job interview
  • Demonstrating time management
  • Communicating verbally and in writing
  • Developing team leadership
  • Identifying career interests and abilities
  • Exhibiting personal accountability
  • and more!

JCG received the 2015 SuperAward for Youth Opportunity Provider from the Southwest Ohio Regional Workforce Investment Board, and it has received the “5 of 5” Site Award for nineteen consecutive years in recognition of exceeding national standards.
