Short-term:    Share assets for mutual benefit and enhanced public awareness, such as complementary use of the Freedom Center’s Harriet Tubman Theater for student recitals and performances by the SCPA jazz orchestra
 
Examine issues of intolerance, respect for differences and the advancement of freedom for all people through the literary arts
 
Series of field trips for entire school to inspire their creativity in honoring rich and diverse cultural heritage and pass on the legacy of truth, justice and freedom through an interdisciplinary arts education approach in real life applications
 
Planning:        Integrate SCPA performing groups into the existing Freedom Center season, such as drama and music around the six unfreedom themes: racism, illiteracy, genocide, hunger, tyranny and slavery, as well as the Suite for Freedom.
 
Exhibit of freedom-related artworks by SCPA students under the direction of SCPA’s Althea Thompson
 
Ongoing performances of the jazz ensemble at Freedom Center events, as well as opportunities for other performances by Baby Grands, etc. during normal visiting hours.
