Community Results: College Access and Mentoring
  • 90 percent of all Cincinnati Public Schools served
  • Served over 5,500 students, which represents 15 percent of all CPS students
  • Served 438 seniors (25 percent of CPS seniors)
  • 97 percent of seniors (423) in the programs graduated
  • 346 (82 percent) of these seniors applied to college
  • A 52 percent increase from 2003 in the amount of students receiving Cincinnati Scholarship Funds
  • Over 1,750 volunteers devoted their time and effort at a value of over $1.46 million
  • 92 percent of students who participated in the programs were promoted to the next grade!

  • An increase in their self-esteem
  • An increase in academic achievement
  • A 15 percent decrease in behavior issues

  • 143 partners linked to 89 percent of CPS schools and six inner-city parochial schools
