AmeriCorps
Project REACH (Realizing Educational and Career Hopes) is an AmeriCorps Program designed to aid Cincinnati Public schools students in navigating the postsecondary process. AmeriCorps Members (REACH Advisors) serve in 6 CPS Schools and in CYC’s Community College Resource Center. Advisors assist first generation and low income students and their families in the college planning and preparation process. They use themselves as "peer" examples that successfully enrolled in and graduated from, college.
AmeriCorps is a national service program, akin to a domestic Peace Corps, that allows individuals to serve their communities and country in meaningful ways. Their creed is – “If not you, then who…if not now, then when?” For more information on AmeriCorps check out the national homepage at www.americorps.org

Project REACH Advisors are recent college graduates with a desire to serve their communities. Currently there are 19 Project REACH advisors based in 6 schools, 2 community centers and CYC offices.
